Performance Idea

Hello! I wanted to propose an idea for artists. 

Dancers, singers, songwriters, and more, I propose a weekly themed series of nine or ten performances. 

Each week’s performance would correspond to a different color of the rainbow, ROYGBV, plus one week each of black-“space,” white-“light,” and rainbow itself. 

Nine weeks, the number of fulfilling wishes, plus a tenth if you want a completion or manifestation. 

I strongly encourage collaboration between groups. Why don’t dancers collaborate with musicians to dance to their songs, and the musicians could create art that works with the dancers? Video editors and visual artists could collaborate  with any of the above. I’m sure there are more possibilities. 

Groups of the same kind could collaborate with each other, too – singer with singer, one dance group with another. 

I’m making a list of themes if you’re not the type to immediately take your ideas out the gate. There are many others you can use.  It could be cool to unify the themes, as well.

Red: Passion, heart, blood, Mars and Mercury, aggression, ruby, pride, vitality. 

Orange: Being unique, a pick-me-up, poppies, Venus. 

Yellow: The sun, insolence, friendliness, neighbors. 

Green: Health and sickness, growth, old/mysterious knowledge, Jupiter.  

Blue: Intellect, innocence, blessedness, Neptune and Uranus, cold. 

Violet: Far from the ground, the next step, a very hot flame, Earth. 

Rainbow: The reality we have, our building materials, joy, acceptance, the unknown in the universe. 

Space: Purity, the beginning, the eldest, comfort, objectivity, Saturn. 

Light: The end, everything, the primordial, nothing, hope, the moon. 

Completion/fulfillment: your goal, the best outcome you can possibly think of, and more.
